1. New Operator Forklift Training

Wayco's New Operator Forklift Training program is specifically designed for the beginner or novice operators. It includes both in-class instruction and hands-on training where you can practice operating an actual forklift. Your knowledge and performance will be evaluated and upon successful completion of the course, you will be issued your certification which Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requires all forklift operators to have.

2. Operator Refresher Forklift Training Course

The OHSA requires that every forklift operator should renew their certification every 3 years. Propane is a form of liquid petroleum gas (LPG) and it can be dangerous if not handled properly. 7. Battery Training Program

Our Battery Training program combines both hands-on practical training as well as theoretical training. You will learn all about batteries including how to maintain, transfer, charge, and water them as well as safety protocols related to battery use. The "Battery & Charger Training Program has been introduced to many warehouse and manufacturing facilities all across Ontario, resulting in lower rates of injuries to employees and damage to equipment. Each participant will take a theoretical test and upon completi0n receive a certificate.

8. Lockout/Tagout Training

Wayco's Lockout/Tagout training program will teach you about this safe work practice that ensures that dangerous machines and energy sources are properly shut off and not unexpectedly started up before the completion of maintenance or servicing work. The course covers a range of topics, including the basic procedures for lockout and tagout, and information about the responsibilities of manufacturers, employers, supervisors, and employees regarding hazardous energy control. We recommend that you renew your training every 3 years

Who Is It for? All authorized employees who service or maintain equipment, as well as equipment operators and any other affected employees who work in the area where lockout/tagout is being performed as required by the OHSA. Additionally, temporary personnel, as well as outside service and contractor personnel, must also be trained in hazardous energy control.

  • Shutting down, isolating, blocking, & securing the machine
  • Safely placing, removing, & transferring of lockout/tagout devices
  • Testing the machine & verifying energy is locked out

The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is a Canada-wide system designed to give employers and workers information about hazardous materials used in the workplace.
